Winner of the Cobblerstone Childrens Playhouse is Meribeth Aycock from Ruther Glen, Virginia. Many thanks to Ron, Jim and Rachel for their help selling raffle tickets. Habitat received $2300.00 towards building new homes.

 What is Habitat for Humanity? This is a brief description of what Habitat for Humanity is about. The Fredericksburg Habitat operates in the City of Fredericksburg and the Counties of Stafford, Spotsylvania and King George. Habitat for Humanity accepts no government funding, charges no interest to the homeowner and makes no profit from building with our low-income families. Habitat has a large number of families in need, so we try to keep our building costs low by utilizing contributions, donated materials and volunteer labor. Donations come from individuals, churches, local businesses and corporations. Our volunteers come from every walk of life from school children, housewives, blue/white-collar workers, professionals to retirees. Habitat for Humanity is a Christian based ministry open to anybody who believes that everyone deserves a simple, decent and safe place to live and in our goal of eliminating poverty housing and homelessness in the Greater Fredericksburg area.
