Greater Fredericksburg Habitat for Humanity
On July 5, 1995, the Greater Fredericksburg Habitat for Humanity (GFHFH) was started by a group of concerned citizens with the goal of providing adequate low-cost housing for residents in the city of Fredericksburg, Stafford, Spotsylvania and King George counties. Homeowners are selected based on their need for housing, their ability to repay a mortgage and their willingness to work in partnership with Habitat. As of 2015, 21 homes have been constructed since our first family selection in August 1996. Our 20/20 long-term strategic plan envisions building, refurbishing or remodeling 20 homes by the 2020 fiscal year.
Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.
A world where everyone has a decent place to live.
