Executive Management
Bruce Seger is currently the Executive Director at Habitat. He has been involved with the Fredericksburg affiliate since 2003 when he saw an opportunity to help the community. He originally worked with the financials for Habitat until he assumed the Executive Director position. He enjoys hands on projects and volunteering at his church. Bruce earned his Bachelor’s degree at South Dakota School of Mines in Mechanical Engineering. Bruce retired from General Motors as an executive. Bruce currently resides in Spotsylvania County. The Board of Directors
Pamela Coopwood began working with Greater Fredericksburg Habitat for Humanity in May 2011, as the President of the Board of Directors. She works to ensure that the organization maintains a clear direction in line with the values of not only the board itself, but also with Habitat International. She works to create focused, strategic goals for the affiliate and works to channel the strengths of the board into meaningful community outreach. When she is not working with Habitat, Pamela is active in other community organizations and with her event planning business. She can be reached at president@fredhab.org.
Christopher Watson is the Immediate Past President and is active within the Family Selection Committee. He works as a liaison between the existing Board of Directors and the new acting President. A Long Island native, Christopher graduated from The University of Mary Washington in 1995. He returned to the Fredericksburg area in 1997 and has been working with Greater Fredericksburg Habitat for Humanity since 2005. He currently works as an IT Program Manager.
Bob Hammond is the Vice President of Development at Greater Fredericksburg Habitat for Humanity. He originally got involved with Habitat for Humanity while living in Florida in 1998. He has been with the Fredericksburg affiliate since 2006. Bob became involved because he did a lot of his own home maintenance and repairs. After he retired, he thought he would enjoy working at build sites and also liked the mission of Habitat. Bob earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota. Bob and his wife spend their time living in Fredericksburg, Virginia and Wisconsin.
Carl Wiberg settled in the Fredericksburg area in 1993 after nearly forty-five years in the newspaper business and became involved with the Greater Fredericksburg Habitat for Humanity affiliate. He is the Vice President of Administration for the Board of Directors and helps to oversee the work of various committees. He also assists with community outreach and facilitates communication not only between the board and the committees, but also between the board and the greater Fredericksburg community. Carl previously served as the Executive Director of the board. Outside of Habitat Carl works as a realtor and is the father of four and the grandfather of eleven.
Lindi Huber has years of nonprofit leadership experience including resource development and special event planning. Lindi became involved with the Fredericksburg Habitat for Humanity in 2007 and currently serves on the Executive Board of Directors as the Treasurer. In 2011, Lindi went to Haiti with Habitat and assisted with some of the 155 homes that were built in response to the earthquake. She has also been involved with The American Red Cross and Army Community Services. Lindi works as a financial advisor for Ameriprise and lives in Stafford with her husband and three boys.
Dennis Benjamin has been involved with Habitat for Humanity since 1997. He has been involved with Greater Fredericksburg and the Winchester, VA chapters. He has served as family advocate in both cities and helped begin the Fredericksburg ReStore. Dennis currently serves on the Church Relations and ReStore commiittess.
Marilynn Brown is on the Board of Directors on behalf of Family Support. She has been involved with the Fredericksburg Habitat for Humanity since 2009. Family Support involves providing education on home ownership, budgeting, advice on being a good neighbor, as well as home maintenance and paying mortgages on time. Currently, Marilynn works for the government and has three children. She resides in Fredericksburg.
Janet Krebs has been with Fredericksburg Habitat for Humanity since 2006 and serves on the Board of Directors for the Resale Store. She has also previously served as Bookkeeper and the Treasurer. She is drawn to Habitat’s values and a desire to help people. Janet worked as a tax manager for World Petroleum for seven years and has extensive experience with budgeting and recognizing growth potential. Janet earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Economics at State University of New York of Oneonta. She currently resides in Fredericksburg.
Brenda Locke serves on the Board of Directors for Resource Development.
