Opportunities For Groups

group

Working on a Habitat project is a great way for groups from local churches, businesses, sports teams, and other organizations to come together and build something positive.

Groups help us in several valuable ways:

  • Building new homes: All of our homes are built by volunteer labor.
  • Repairing existing homes: Do you have skilled volunteers who can lead your group in performing a critical home repair for a local resident, such as replacing a floor or building a wheelchair ramp? Or, are you interested in helping with lighter jobs like painting or raking leaves for a senior?
  • Hosting a picnic table build: Our picnic table program is a great way to raise money for Habitat. We can even bring the supplies and instruct you at your own location!
  • Raising funds and awareness: Interested in holding a fundraiser, event, or supply drive? Email volunteer@fredhab.org to talk about creative ways in which your congregation, team, or workplace may be able to support Habitat.

To apply for a build day for your group, please read our Volunteer Handbook and complete the Volunteer Group Request Form.
