NAP Credit

Neighborhood-Assistance-Program-300x230Greater Fredericksburg Habitat for Humanity takes part in the Virginia Department of Social Services’ Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP). The Department  issues NAP credits to encourage philanthropic support for certain organizations that provide direct service to low-income persons within Virginia localities.

The Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) credits are like a rebate from the state. When you contribute to GFHFH through the NAP program you are able to reduce your state tax liability. Eligible donors include any person, business, or organization that has a Virginia income tax liability. Donors can make contributions over a period of time as a long as it is in the same calendar year. Donations given through this program are unrestricted and must meet a minimum amount of $500 for individuals and $616 for businesses.

All donations must be given between July 1, 2015 – Dec. 31, 2015 or Jan. 1, 2016 – June 30, 2016. Please contact Director of Administration, Eva Brown for more information.
